Font exploitation rules
Font is made of natural materials, it means that there are som definite exploitation rules.
There is not so much of them, so it cannot take a lot time to carry them into effect, but you will make up for
it by enjoying Ofuro warmbaths for long years.
It is advisable to fix Ofuro bath in 10-15 cm higher from the land and to check the horisontal level.
The depth might be identical everywhere. Font can be fixed on wooden squared beams or concrete blocks
taking in account that they can stand the weight of several tonnes. While placing the font, define the place
where water will be poured out. That is why it is recommended to connect one side of hose up with sink at the
bottom of the barrel before placing it.
Fill the barrel with water in difference of 15 cm from top side.
Start heating the stove when the pipe is minimum 10 cm in water.
In warm season it is advisable that barrel is filled with water.
It is recommended to process the font with protective means at least once a year.
For cleaning and taking care of barrel are suitable pool cleaning means.
In winter do not let water freeze. After using the barrel pour out the water before it starts freezing.
It is expected to clean the stove after 3-7 uses.
In case if font is not used for a long time, the material can dry out in consequence of air moisture change.
There is no need to worry: it is not a defect, it is a display of used materials property. In this case you must
only tighten up the nuts on the hoops and fill barrel with cold water. And, of course, do not leave a font empty
in sunny and warm weather. Avoid straight sun beams not to cause drying up, also exclude ovens and radiators influence.
Doctors advice
When water is about 40oC, the best way of taking a bath is when you are half-lying and heart is above the water.
In winter it is recommended to wear shoes while taking warm baths.
Doctors have proved that regular Ofuro visiting is very good prophylactic means from cold deseases.
