Black Friday is a great opportunity to invest in your outdoor living space. Whether you’re considering a traditional garden sauna or a wood-fired hot tub, choosing the right model involves more than finding an attractive discount.

Size, materials, heating options and delivery requirements all influence your long-term satisfaction.

At Baltresto, we manufacture outdoor saunas and wood-fired hot tubs in Estonia, offering a wide selection of designs with delivery options across Europe.

This buying guide will help you compare your options, avoid common purchasing mistakes and make an informed decision ahead of Black Friday 2026.

Baltresto’s Black Friday 2026 offers run from 2 to 30 November, with 20% off selected basic sets of outdoor saunas and wood-fired hot tubs.

Both products create a relaxing outdoor experience, but they serve different purposes.

Outdoor saunas are ideal for traditional sauna bathing. Compact barrel saunas work particularly well in smaller gardens, while larger oval, cube barrel and panoramic designs offer additional space and different architectural styles.

Baltresto’s outdoor sauna collection includes models for couples, families and larger groups, with different layouts and heating options.

Wood-fired hot tubs offer the experience of soaking in warm water outdoors, even during colder months. They are available in various shapes and sizes, with traditional wooden or fiberglass-lined interiors.

Our advice: Think about how you plan to use the product. If you enjoy traditional heat sessions, choose a sauna. If you prefer relaxing in warm water with family or friends, a wood-fired hot tub may be the better fit.

Before purchasing, consider your available garden space, the number of regular users and your preferred maintenance routine.

Finding the Right Size

For saunas, capacity is important, but so is the interior layout. A compact sauna may be sufficient for a couple, while larger models provide additional seating or a changing area.

Baltresto offers both flat-pack sauna kits and fully assembled models. Flat-pack delivery can be particularly useful where transportation costs or access restrictions are important considerations.

For hot tubs, remember that larger models hold more water and may require additional heating time and fuel. The actual heating time depends on water volume, stove output, outdoor temperature and insulation.

Our guide on choosing the right hot tub shape and size explains these considerations in more detail.

Understanding Construction Materials

For outdoor saunas, spruce provides a traditional natural appearance, while Thermowood offers improved dimensional stability and resistance to moisture-related changes. Both require appropriate exterior protection.

For hot tubs, the main distinction is between traditional wooden construction and fiberglass-lined designs.

Wooden hot tubs offer an authentic natural bathing experience but need more attention to moisture management. Fiberglass-lined models have smooth interiors that simplify cleaning and everyday maintenance.

A discount is valuable only when the product meets your needs.

When comparing outdoor saunas and hot tubs, always check which features are included in the advertised price. Optional equipment, finishes and heating configurations can affect the final cost.

Before ordering, consider:

• Basic set: What equipment and accessories are included?
• Heating: Which stove or heater is suitable for your needs?
• Materials: Which construction offers your preferred balance of appearance and maintenance?
• Installation: Is your intended location suitable and accessible?
• Delivery: What transportation and unloading arrangements are required?

For long-term use, remember that outdoor timber requires appropriate protection, saunas need proper ventilation, and hot tubs require regular cleaning and water management.

Winter operation needs additional care, particularly to prevent water from freezing inside the hot tub or heating system. Read our guide to using a wood-fired hot tub safely in winter before the colder season.

Is Black Friday a good time to buy an outdoor sauna?

Yes, Black Friday can be a good opportunity to buy an outdoor sauna at a reduced price, especially if you’ve already compared models, materials and equipment. Focus on the configuration you actually need rather than choosing a product solely because of its discount.

What should I consider before buying a wood-fired hot tub?

The most important factors are seating capacity, construction materials, stove configuration, maintenance and installation requirements. Also consider water volume, drainage and delivery access, as these affect everyday convenience and long-term operating costs.

Are fiberglass hot tubs easier to maintain than wooden hot tubs?

Generally, yes. Fiberglass-lined hot tubs have smooth interior surfaces that are easier to clean and don’t require the same moisture management as traditional wooden bathing vessels. However, both types need proper cleaning, water care and maintenance.

Can Baltresto deliver outdoor saunas and hot tubs across Europe?

Yes. Baltresto offers delivery options to numerous European countries, including Germany, Finland, Sweden, France and the United Kingdom. Availability, transportation costs and unloading requirements depend on the product and destination.
